About Us
Nicole and Gerardo started the landscape design company in 2005 because they love bringing new designs to life and, naturally, because they love plants. They limit the number of projects they take on so they can give their full attention to each one. The fact that all of these projects come to them through word of mouth is proof of the quality of work Nicole and Gerardo achieve.
Nicole Duryee Hawkins
Nicole Duryee Hawkins has 20 years of landscape design experience. It all started when she discovered an interest in botany and horticulture while completing her biology degree at TCU. After college, she worked for a high-end landscape design/build firm where she developed her skills and had an opportunity to collaborate on commercial and residential projects ranging from museums and the Fort Worth Zoo to residences and ranches.
She loves to bring out her clients’ personalities and style in their landscapes, and she strives to create spaces that compel people to spend more time outdoors.
When she’s not working, she likes to travel, practice yoga, enjoy her own yard and spend time with her husband of 16 years, Alan, and her daughter, Stella, who often accompanies her mom on the job sites.
Gerardo Lopez
Gerardo Lopez is originally from Michoacán, Mexico, and has more than 30 years of experience in the landscaping industry. To quote Nicole, “He has the greenest thumb of anyone I’ve ever known and a great eye for detail.”
Gerardo and his wife Ana Maria have been married for more than 30 years, and they have five children. The eldest, Gerardo “Junior” Lopez, is the landscape design crew leader and is known for his smile and can-do attitude.
